Out and About

Landfall is the ideal base for exploring the local Hamble area or for longer excursions to the many places of interest that are right on our doorstep.

We would be delighted to offer advice and suggestions on how to make the most of your time with us, so please feel free to ask.

Here's a few ideas to be going on with:

The natural beauty of the ancient New Forest is only a 30 minute trip away by car or train.

In the opposite direction, you can step back in time at Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard with world beating exhibits including HMS Victory and the new and internationally acclaimed Mary Rose Museum.

Get a feel for nature at the nearby Warsash or Hill Head nature reserves - just a short trip across the Hamble River aboard one of the iconic pink ferries.

One for the younger members of the family - Peppa Pig World is only a short trip down to Junction 2 of the M27.

Nearby Victoria Country Park provides great walking and fantastic water views of Southampton and the surrounding area.

The charms of the Isle of Wight are within easy reach by ferry from both Southampton and Portsmouth.

Don't forget to take the 5 minute walk to the waterfront and perhaps take a Water Taxi up river to one of the many local pubs for lunch.
